The Cultural Diversity:

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, there are MANY non-Koreans/Asians in this group (most of whom are OCs). I know some were expecting this to be an ‘asians only’ circus, seeing as they’re based in Korea, but its not like that at all. I happen to love cultural diversity so, there will be many MANY different cultures involved.

Uneven number of females:

As I’m sure you’re well aware, there are more males than females. Its meant to be that way; no, its not sexist. I had originally intended to make this a male only circus (because of what they do and because in my dream, this was a male orientated circus. the only females were the victims) but I changed my mind. Perhaps it started out that way - a male orientated circus - but there are females now.


The Back Story/Setting:

You can read it here. I won’t say much except that the Midnight Circus is part of a MUCH bigger story. I got some of the ideas from Harry Potter (about the pureblood supremacy) Xmen (mutants) and Star Wars (the Empire and such).

The Inspiration:

Raise of Voldemort, Star Wars (the rebellion and rise of the Empire), Sunny Hill’s “Midnight Circus” and my dream, which was set in a circus environment. I probably also got some of the inspiration from Cirque du Freak as well.
