BRIEF BIO: she was the daughter of a Norwegian mother and Swedish father, and named after the Norse goddess Freyja. She is one of the only member of the Circus whose parents did not disown her when her special abilities manifested, however, they did not allow her to enter the public schooling system - instead, they decided to send her to boarding school.

After graduating, she married a Greek billionaire, and their marriage was good, until tragedy struck two years into their marriage. After an accident, in which her husband was killed, Freyja was left with millions and an inquiry into the cause of the car accident - many of her detractors believed she set the accident up to acquire his millions, but further evidence proved that she had no hand in the death.

Two months after his death, and the reading of his will, in which he named her the sole inheritor of his billions - much to the disappointment of his two former wives and his long time mistress - she traveled to Seoul, and came upon Leeteuk and Kangin, who were attempting to create a circus. She helped to create the Circus, and though, at first was offered a spot, she decided not to join - only to watch from afar.

She did join later as the Lady of the Adult Show, procuring and training potential adult show performers.

BIRTH NAME: Kim Youngwoon
ALIAS: Kangin, Super Man
SPECIAL ABILITIES: super strength + super speed; His special abilities came from his parents; his super strength from his mother, and his super speed from his biological father.

BRIEF BIO: The Korean Empire’s policy of perfection lead to the emigration of thousands of Korean citizens to other parts of the world not affected by the bigots and their ideas of perfection. Kangin’s mothers were two of the refugees, who made their home in Budapest, Hungary to escape the prosecution of those with super powers (undesirables), homosexuals, transgenders and others deemed sub-human by the government.

He and Leeteuk met two years after he returned to Korea, and you could say it was love at first sight.

BRIEF BIO: Soo-Yun and her twin sister were born in London England, but became Korean citizens after their mother’s death. Their father was distant and cold towards them, pushing them to perfection. When their father married their step mother and she gave birth to their brother, they were pushed from their father’s lives and sent to live with their aunt, who lived as a gypsy in Europe.

Their aunt took care of them, but she could never replace their parents. She was loving towards her nieces and in time the duo forgot about their mother’s death and father’s abandonment. They lived peacefully with the gypsies, studying and learning with the other children. When Soo-Yun’s abilities manifested, her grandmother - the oracle- taught her how to hone her abilities to their finest. She became the apprentice of the Oracle.

Soo-Yun and Kangin met when he stumbled upon the gypsies camp during the summer festival. Kangin had heard of their group, and had been sent by Leeteuk to recruit some of the gypsies - especially the oracle. When asked to join, Soo-Yun’s grandmother said she wouldn’t be living for much longer, and suggested her granddaughters.

BIRTH NAME: Ling Mei
ALIAS: Rapunzel, Medusa
ABILITIES: hair manipulation/vampire

BRIEF BIO: Ling Mei was born hundreds of years before the rise of the second Korean Empire. Her father was a physician to a noble house and her mother a lady in waiting. Her life changed when her village was attacked and her parents killed by the Hun army. She was found days later, and brought to Lady HeeHee’s House, where she learned the art of seduction, and quickly became Heechul’s protege. Shortly after her initiation into the house, Ling Mei’s abilities manifested.

After a decade of running the house, Heechul packed his bags and told his protege to do the same. Ling Mei and Heechul traveled the world until they found their way to the Midnight Circus. Both Ling and Heechul participate in the adult show, seducing men and women.

BIRTH NAME:  Adèle D’Anjou-Lefevre
ALIAS: Madame Lefevre

BIO: Madame Lefevre was born Adèle D’Anjou to the former Prima Ballerina of the corps de ballet and a wine maker in Anjou, France. When she was 4, the family moved to Paris, where she went to school and took up ballerina lessons and met her future husband.

After the Paris bombing which robbed her of her husband, Adèle moved to Korea. She taught Park In-Young ballet for years until the accident, which robbed Inyoung of her life and Adèle’s work, but after the explosion she was approached by Leeteuk and asked to join the circus as the ballet teacher.

BIRTH NAME: Zarina Banu Bharaj
ALIAS: Poison Goddess, Femme Fatale
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Poison emission & sexual inducement.

BIO: Zarina came to live in the Circus two weeks after its conception, and was one of the first circus members to participate in the adult show with Leeteuk and Heechul, as well as one of the first non-native Koreans to join the circus.
